It all began last summer, Trailblazers Championships 2018. I had only been jumping Mr Pickles off the lead rein for a few months. I was 8 years old and Mr Pickles was my 11 hand pony that I had owned since I was 4 years old. He was my lead rein pony and my first jumping pony. The finals came and I was eliminated in both rounds of the 65cm 12 and under championship. But I had the most amazing time, made brilliant friends, and loved the experience. I made mummy promise that we could come back next year and I told myself I would win a rosette.

At the end of the summer 2018 we had Sali Mali. She is a 12.2 dark bay mare. She was much faster than Mr Pickles and jumped much higher. When I first had her I fell off alot, I sang nursery rhymes when we cantered and had to jump fences in trot. Over the winter we worked hard and we started to get better. I qualified Mr Pickles for the Trailblazers 65cm second round and Sali Mali for the 65cm and 75cm second round.

The second rounds came, Sali Mali qualified for the 65cm 12 & under and 75cm final at Maelor, the 65cm Junior at Tushingham and Mr Pickles qualified for the 65cm 12 & under at Field House. I was so excited about the Trailblazer finals.

I then entered the Cavaletti Collection Junior brand ambassador competition. I could not believe it when I made it to the final three!!

The Trailblazers Championships were amazing, I had a brilliant time with friends and family with two incredible highlights. Firstly, Sali Mali was amazing as usual and we got the rosette that I had been dreaming of all year, 7th in one of the 65cm 12 and under heats!!! Then to my amazement I was chosen to be Cavaletti Junior brand ambassador. It had been the best week.

Next stop Cricklands Summer Championships of Great Britain, Sali was amazing again winning a 4th and a 7th in the 75cm under 12 years classes.

Our final Championships of the summer was Sunshine Tour Hickstead, but there was no 12 years and under section this time I was in the 16 years and under championships. Yet again we had a brilliant show and me and Sali we placed 9th from around 70 in the 70cm class and won another beautiful rosette.

Who would have thought this time last year that I could win rosettes at three national championships, I feel so proud and so lucky to have a pony like Sali and cannot believe that  I have been chosen to be Cavaletti Collection Junior Ambassador.

The  end of the summer came and my very very special Mr Pickles has gone on loan to teach someone else what he has taught me. I have learned so much from him and will miss him so much and feel very lucky to have had him for over 5 years. He has only gone on loan so will be coming back one day.

A couple of weeks ago my new pony Popstar arrived, he is only 5 years old and we are going to practice over winter and hopefully get better like me and Sali did last year.

I cant wait to see what the next year brings. Hopefully I will be back at the Trailblazers Championships next year with both Sali Mali and Popstar trying to win rosettes.
